Re: Star Fox 64 - Meet the New Boss, Same as the Old Boss
That's something that's always bothered me about the Slippy memes. Yes, Slippy is the worst pilot, out of the four best pilots in the Lylat system.

Re: MaGL4 - Interest Fishing Period
I'd be interested, but I'd want to know more about the rules/judging before fully committing.

Re: And the crunch bitcrushed the audio over the football (MaGLX3)
what the thumbnail is mario holding a football in one of those sand areas at the start of the level. if youtube showed another possible thumbnail for some reason that ain't my fault Yeah, it looks like youtube's mouseover preview thing jumps straight to the spoilers. So anyone who holds their mouse...

Re: kerocola karnival (MaGLX3)
As a slightly-above-amateur Klonoanaut, here's my thoughts on today's first level: Klonoa does control kind of wonkily in SMBX2, mostly because his base movement style assumes momentum works differently than it does here. The movement usually isn't too bad, though. I think the reason it stood out in...

Re: squarshetti squeels (MaGLX3)
So, I have question about today's visit to EA publishing: If Doctor Block had altered the lua to make the footballs more predictable/reliable for the player, would that have effected gimmick score for them? Is the unprocessed, "pure" behavior what's called for, or is it simply the essence ...

Re: squarshetti squeels (MaGLX3)
What I meant was, it seemed like some plants had trouble walking between different types of blocks, mainly ground and spikes. If you look at 7:36 to 7:45 in raocow's video, you can see a nipper struggling to leave that one dirt block, while at around 3:58:08 to 3:58:35ish in the Zygl gameplay you c...

Re: squarshetti squeels (MaGLX3)
Looking at the video from years ago, I see two things of note:
1) The plants didn't seem to have any problem walking between blocks on the same level, so that's a problem that came about during the SMBX2 update cycle.
2) Zygl's comfortable gameplay style is insane.

Re: GAMY, Games are My Yeast, My Life is Bread (MaGLX3)
Yeah, the problem with using custom art, aside from the time cost, is that you then have to re-train the player as to what does what, which is going to be even harder with an iconic block like 1F0. I just wish there was a way to control how much things on 1F0 slid. That actually changed in post-prod...
