Well I was kinda hoping that I'd at least have a teaser trailer or a teaser image or SOMETHING for you guys but I guess the label isn't doing that so I suppose text will have to do haha.

So I got invited to a net label and things are looking pretty swell. It's a startup and we'll be launching on Halloween with a compilation featuring a song from hopefully every member currently in. Everybody in this thing is really nice and swell, we've got a skype group going and we've just been hanging out, talking music and passing WIPs back and forth. It's a really collaborative spirit.

I know two or three of the musicians involved and all of their music is really really good, so I have high hopes of the album turning out nicely. My own song I'll be putting in is already at 2:00 and is really nice, it doesn't fit with a Halloween vibe unfortunately but ah well, we were allowed to go for Halloweeny music or not so it's okay.

The label will be fairly freeform so far as genre shenanigans go. I mean like they invited ME of all people, the ambient/world guy, so it will vary a lot track to track. I've heard the others are making stuff like straight up ambience, dark dnb, chiptune dnb. It's looking to be very weird and odd, I'm really looking forward to seeing how well the outfit does~

The second track here is really something, and the whole package is really admirable considering it's a free treat. If it wasn't for being in the label I would have never discovered this guy, and I gotta say I do like his style.

Our label head Milk Puzzle is entirely too interesting. His music is very unconventional and cannot be put down to anything but the broastest, most umbrella of genres like "bass music" or "EDM"

Thing was we were going to have a secret forum where Milk could post important things for us to agree on (because he was having a hard time getting important decisions decided on in the skype chat, like the album title especially he felt he didn't get as much feedback from members as he wanted)

Skypechats just bury the important stuff in favor of general chatter, which is okay! But yeah we needed a place to talk about decisions. Only issue is I've also been trying to get the others in here as well but only Milk and Shark signed up so. That idea probably isn't going to work either. Murr.

I just wish Milk had a way to talk to everybody at large but we're too fragmented and lazy. Only getting to talk to like four members at a time depending on who is on.

Label and album launch wasn't nearly as popular as I was expecting unfortunately, I wasn't expecting too much but even what we've got is just... paltry. Pitiful even for a label launch. And it just makes me sad since some of the tunes are actually kinda nice.

Hell I even did my own little review of the album, it's not all great, some of it's pretty bad to my ears, but there IS some really swell stuff in there. I dunno. Depressed at the end of it all I guess.

Been on a hiatus from music for a while, I've lost most of my will to make it. Went ahead and cleaned out my project and sample folders just because, freed up a ton of room on my drive. I dunno if I'll ever get to making music again, it more or less depresses me too much at the end of things. Think I prefer making Lets Plays by far.

Sorry to hear you've been stuck in a music rut, Bwarch. I know that feeling, I've barely written anything myself all year. It's pretty depressing. But I like what I've heard through browsing this thread!
