Well, if everything not relating to A. raocow's LPs or 2. a.t.x.s. are shoved into "the rest", that section's going to get very cluttered very quick, isn't it? We're talking about "the rest" being split into its various possible sections, at least, I think that's how it'd work.

I dont understand the concept behind the rest forum. Maybe it needs an explanation? :)

Also writing. Unless the idea of the "Art Hall" forum is broadened to a sort of "Creativity Corner" kind of deal with any form of media our forumites have devoted themselves to.

In that case:
-off topic
-Gaming (maybe add music here too)
-The World (more serious oriented about things going on in the world)
-Sports, Film and Hobbies (pretty much anything else. Including stuff like hobbies)
-Forum games (games played on this forum. From Question game to Hangman to RPG)

Titles need to change, but that's where others come in.

I think this is probably the best set of forum sections right now, keeping things general enough to keep each section busy, but specific enough to keep them from getting too cluttered.

Personaly I was wondering if the forums would be big/filled enough to warrant dividing up the 'misc' forum already. If you guys think it's the case, I'll look into it later today.

I think it would be better to split them up into more-specific sections now and have them progressively fill up rather than waiting until they're needed and have to worry about moving older topics to their proper places. Besides, sure, the community is small right now, but this forum has only been up for how long today and we already have some solid discussions going on here. I'm excited and envision good things from this forum.

Also, Dealth, the way I see it, if art gets its own forum, then pretty much every form of creativity should get its own forum because there's nothing that makes artwork "better than" or "superior to" any form of creation. But then again, that could be just me being a gigantic artist-party-pooper.

O Im sorry, You misunderstood me.
I see art as everything people make, like stories, drawings, scupltures, etc. I didnt mean to come across as just the "drawing" kinda art. See what im getting at?

It bugs me that the term "art" can refer to drawing/painting specifically, and the overall act of creating things for the enjoyment of the self and others. As a wordsmith by trade, it bugs me a lot. Because I don't know HOW many times I've misinterpreted the general term for the specific and got my pants all in a bunch.

I'd recommend against splitting forums up much if at all, at this point. A large number of underpopulated forums discourages posting, and there is no reasonable way to determine how active these forums will be yet. There's no harm in waiting until it's actually needed to split things.

We actually have the basis for most of these forums, actually. I'm not so sure Music warrants its own forum, but I'd agree with a Gaming Discussion board. LPs have a forum already, as do suggestions and the Art Showcase (though renaming it to make it more open could help). General is pretty much The Rest forum. Perhaps a subforum in The Rest could be made for forum games, if it works?

I don't think mega-subdivision is really needed as of yet anyways, and it can be a gradual shift, rather than suddenly making all these new sections. That's just me, though.
