MaGL X2 Relay Level (What is a level? A miserable little pile of...)
Re: MaGL X2 Relay Level (Postgame Colab Level - ½-ish Edition - 55% done)
My current free time is as follows:
Thursday, May 14th at 2:00am until 1:00am on Friday, May 15th
Sunday, May 17th at 11:00pm until 8:30pm on Tuesday, June 9th
So if blue_kirby gets his part done by tonight then I could go next. Otherwise I have to wait until Sunday night.

Re: MaGL X2 Relay Level (Postgame Colab Level - ♞ Edition - 57% done)
Would it be possible to get Sunday, May 24th to work on my section? The way progress seems to be going it looks like my turn would be up sometimes between Thursday and Saturday, which happens to be a hilariously bad timeframe for me due to my job being a butt. =/

Sure, I'd think that can be arranged.sedron wrote:Would it be possible to get Sunday, May 24th to work on my section?

"whoever" is a subject pronoun; it is used when one acts.
"whomever" is an object pronoun; it is used when one is acted upon.
The verb here is "is" - "whoever" is the subject of the verb.
"whoever is next" is to "he who is next" as "whomever is next" is to "him who is next"
*whoever

FYI Somehow the Fixes I had made to Section 4 to make the autoscroll work got wholly reverted. :/
Give me some time to re-fix everything.

Even worse, Aall LUA code after after the boot filter is gone too (arabsalmon and Lejes's stuff, and anyone else after who did LUA code.)Rednaxela wrote:Hrm... annoying that that happened. Right, that should get fixed indeed.
Thankfully I had a backup from I think Maiku's screen, and re-copied the missing code.

OK, this should be the re-fixed version. Note in 1 quick test Lejes's code still didn't fire for some reason, and the second autoscroll code might still have the wrong time (causing the screen to scroll to far)

Ye gods, I seem to actually have a functioning Windows again. ... I mean, I still can't get any sound in SMBX for some reason, BUT at least I can theoretically do this level-making thing.
... not today, mind, because it's pretty late now, and tomorrow might be bad, too, because I'll be RPing for an uncertain amount of time, but Sunday should definitely probably work...?

Oh. I... somehow completely forgot this was a thing. (Due to things that happened since, I've... become less proud of my MAGLX2 stage, and have been largely not following the contest anymore as a result...) Do I like, have to download and play each individual section before working on mine? Or is there some mashup that's already been assemble for easier use? Also, I won't be using Luna/Lua/whatever, since I don't know how, and I can't think of anything so ambitious on a single screen that I'd *need* it for, so... yeah.
Ayjo and Meya are watching you. Be on your best behavior.

It's all one stage, just download the 7z file SAJewers posted (which is the most recent version right now). Then just add one screen to the end of whatever the latest section is. Running through the other stuff is optional (but doesn't hurt for testing and to see if you want to reference anything earlier in the level).

I skimmed through a lot of the level, just to get a general idea on what it was about.Dragon Fogel wrote:It's all one stage, just download the 7z file SAJewers posted (which is the most recent version right now). Good to hear your computer troubles are lesser. With regards to no sound, what version SMBX are you running? If the vanilla one, you may have better luck with the dev kit that has LunaDLL as that does sound differently. Anyway, I'll have you tentatively slotted in for Sunday then.Fawriel wrote:but Sunday should definitely probably work...?

Re: MaGL X2 Relay Level (Postgame Colab Level - ♜ Edition - 58% done)
... actually, nevermind. This isn't going to work until someone explains to me how to actually apply that dev kit. I copied all the files into the directory, but the next step tells me to run "makeDLL.exe" as if it was the most natural thing in the world, but I'm not seeing the file anywhere and not even Google's being helpful.
(Also I'm in a terrible shape right now, so there's that, too.)
