Some of the people here won't have admin privileges for various reasons, remember.
Well then its not that it doesnt work no matter what they do, its that it doesnt work and they dont know what the problem is because (and this is a huge problem with people trying to fix computer problems) instead of actually reading it and troubleshooting, they just see a problem and go "it doesnt work no matter what."
I find it more like overprotectivity, they treat the users as babies that only need a download button

If that's who I think it is.
I was aiming for it!
(the first tier is pretty much almost always entirely joke levels im pretty sure)
since its unclear whether tier 1 will be put into the ToB or not (since everyone there is VERY VERY SERIOUS about the evils of joke levels) the level was
a mostly empty room with graphics from 2 certain games i like, with Hugo from OFF in the middle and when you talk to him he says 'allow lunadll'. then the end-level-star appears
Well it is a decent hack but sometime its just too repetitif there no level that actually pop in your face and your like oh yeah that level they all ressemble themselves and just monster along the way.

They should at least put tier 1 in an out-of-the-way side area like MaGL X. After all, joke levels are the most interesting part of the bottom rung, at least in my opinion.
Everyonea noticeable amount of people there would disagree with that
ill probably never enter one of these with a real level but my joke levels would probably get more and more ridiculous in nature. i predict they will also all get bottom place every time on account of them being jokes.

Heh, that's very true, but even if they had it wouldn't really counter some of my main problems.
Hm, I can elaborate somewhat on at least one of my problems, now that I've had some time to think. When it comes to my level, at least, (as an example), I had done it as a joke at their expense, and aimed for last, but the judges' comments regarding mine and every other joke level just seemed... too intense. The fact that there's a thread now dedicated to somebody getting stupidly angry at levels in hopes that will seem humorous somehow really isn't helping matters.
Basically, IMO the reaction one should have for a jokingly bad level (and the one i was aiming for) is "oh you absolute bucket 0/10", but instead their reactions seem to be "this is lower than murder, fuck you 0/10"
Exaggerating on both ends, of course, but I feel if I try to question their comments at all they'll tell me to be less upset about my score and to make a reeeeaaaal level next time. Are they really that desperate to move on to 15-minute-long pretty-tilesets that short jokes legitimately anger them? And I know the insult thread in particular is intentionally over-the-top, I'm not speaking just of it, but its just weird that that thread exists at all because it's just... it's just random anger. That's not funny. That's, like, old as heck.

The problem with the joke levels is that they've been coming in increasing quantity and reducing quality since the first contest. If the only people who submitted joke levels were people who legitimately wanted to make joke levels, there might be less complaint. But everyone who doesn't feel like actually entering after signing up just throws together some garbage in 30 seconds that's le funny xD. In reality it's not really amusing and just wastes everyone's time. In turn, this feeling at times spread even when there are joke levels that do reflect some effort.
I think youre taking 'judging mario levels' too seriously

I put about 15 minutes into mine. 2 minutes working out the timing for the events, 4 minutes building the level, 2 minutes testing, and 9 minutes questioning my life decisions.
Are levels past the first tier also joke levels? If what was revealed so far is the extent of those levels, then a little under 7% of the total submissions were joke levels, or roughly one in fifteen levels. (I don't think Zyg's was a joke, he just likes making absurdly hard stuff.) Is that a major increase in their frequency since the first contest, and is that a large enough amount to call it a problem?
I'd be hard-pressed to actually work up anger or annoyance at a level like Shemp's, which takes about 2 minutes and no effort to play/judge. Or a level like Leet's that takes even less, even if it's a dig at the site hosting it.
Reading DarkMatt's "reviews," on the other hand, is a genuinely painful experience.
Some of the judge comments are iffy, too. The one that stood out to me was "butthurt much," for last place. Criticism does not equal butthurt, no, and I can't imagine anyone who uses that phrase as anything other than an edgy 11-year old.
