Seriously, my mind exploded at least twice tonight. Can't wait for the episodes to get to this part (though in between there's also the super intense part that we've been hyping already).

I would've clapped if my hands hadn't been occupied with something else!

......

Not what you're thinking. I don't know if you're thinking something, but it's not that.

So it's not holding up a can of diet coke?

Then you're bad man. A BAD MAN!

*raises three hands*
I listened to the episode three times in different occasions and clapped three out of three times. Once in my room, once in the shower and once on a public bus. Felt like I dumbass, but it was worth it. Who knows, the episode could've taken a significant turn if I wouldn't have clapped that very moment there, so I just wanted to make sure.

Yes. Yes it is. The coke has to specifically be diet.

Okay, i'm having issues with Rezcow and Caesar because SMBX feels like making my NPCs invisible with those graphics (But Whol's editor sees them fine).. not in the mood to try and figure out why but here's SMBX Jakey Boy and Boolina (Jakey = SMB3 Boo, Boolina = SMOO Boo.)

Why do I have the feeling that rezcow working for The League of Janitor's was part of the plan all along?
And rezcow's gullibility played so perfectly into it too.

Horikawa, I'm loving the twists you're adding to this story each session! This has easily become one of my favorite video series in a while.

Wow, just wow. A+ work where Jumbo Rezcow.

I wonder if anyone will actually try explaining to Rezcow what it was he did...

The plot twists just keep going deeper...

Have fun. Also trying to make an animate-able Rezcow and a more unique Caesar, but i'm glad they were liked.

I just can't wait to hear how the rest will react to Rezcow's deal. After what has happened between Boolina and Caesar, I can see this turning worse

These Cortex videos always make my day. I figured it was about time for me to make some fan art, and today's episode gave me a real golden moment to work with.

Got a bigger version of those? I'd replace my graphics with the shy/eyes covering boo images you made to keep the SMBX boos more consistent as opposed to just a copy/paste of the normal boolina/jakey for both states.
Still gotta figure out the right NPC to modify in order to have rezcow to scale. That bastard is BIG!
Horikawa Otane wrote:Ahhh! I can't wait to see more SMBX models!
Horikawa sempai noticed me!
In all seriousness. I'm not that great at MAKING sprites (Or levels for that matter). Making replacements in SMBX from already existing sprites, however, I like doing. So i've been waiting for someone to make these.
Also they would have fit in VERY WELL in my MAGL X2 level if ASMTtT had started and the sprites would have been available back then but now it's too late. Ah well.

I just make the sprite sheets to be used for sprite comics or animation stuff. I just mainly use paint.net or PaintXP for my spriting I'm not sure what you do to fit them into SMBX, if I had a template or a grid sheet of how the game sprites work, then I can do those seperately.
Ahhh! I can't wait to see more SMBX models!
I just altered some SMW sprites, and wanted to give the boo characters alittle more movement. I might have to make Boolina's uniform ruffle alittle to symbolize movement,
I'm still trying to get Rezcow to run on all fours instead of my original bipedal plans.

In the meantime, we can't forget our favorite star.

THE DEED IS DONE!

Kellins' sprites have been SMBX'd!

Boolina replaces the SMW Boo
Jakey replaces the SMB3 Boo
Cesear replaces the NPC talky toad
Rezcow replaces..... Mother Brain.... what? It's the only thing big enough to fit the big guy!

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7hV1E ... sp=sharing

People may do as they wish with it! Don't forget to thank Kellins. They are his sprites, I just SMBX'd them.

I love how Jakey Boy is pretty much a canonical psychopath at this point, haha.

I liked the added yoshi sounds. I don't quite understand Boolina's actions though. Ceaser is being pretty cool for his situation and I'm well rooting for him. I'm getting to the edge of my seat.

Edit: (sneaks these in, not wanting to double post.)

Wow, first time we have someone (even if they aren't major) die! This is getting intense. I wonder what Boolina's gonna do now?

So I'm going to take a wild guess and say that the crazy combat scene you guys had a while back is revving up.
The sheer irony of how the first blood went down was just staggering, really. The team has a happy walking war machine who's agreed to join a ring of hitman janitors, the daughter of a mafia boss who's been threatening more than half the criminals they meet, a hotheaded toad with a fairly belligerent history who has recently been inducted into a gang of street thugs, and the other guy, who manages to be the only cop not involved in some sort of crime syndicate and who has no particular history of violence... until he decides to run a truck through a crowd on purpose.

And then he freaks out not because he killed four people but because he's a neat freak who doesn't like seeing blood.

I've known Jakey Boy was probably the, uh... least traditional cop of the bunch ever since "Throw a rock through the window and run" came up, but dang! I wasn't even expecting one death this early, let alone being completely casual about four!
In other words this just keeps getting better. The next few parts are shaping up to be a real treat.

This is exactly why I'd be terrible for a podcast like this. I'd spend the rest of the session being a big mopey downer because those poor yoshis whyy

(One time I was playing a paladin in D&D and I was captured and our party defeated and they were just about to declare a turnabout and join the dark side instead and only stopped and decided to save me instead because I was pulling the saddest of all sadfaces.)

(I'm not sure if I'm not mature enough or not childish enough for RPGs.)
