Yea but what if he doesn't get on the forums? It's been half a month sinze he's last been on. (Then again we have around half a month)

Forget the vanilla version idea.

The story is made for Demo anyway and not like the VIPS where anyone could fit in.

Argh my internet went out last night. I wanted to ask if someone could convert/trace/whatever this because I know it will look really good in SMW format (there are less than 16 colors)

But if not, it's fine, and I will use one of the ones already made

Also forgot to mention, making a horizontal life bar at the bottom, so is anyone interested in drawing the word Rumia all nice and pretty? (no tile restrictions apply) For the life bar I could just make some red rectangles myself, but go crazy if you want. The sky's the limit

Gah I gave it my best shot but the face looks misshapen, the hair's badly done and the dress isn't shaded well. Here it is though:

Tell me whatever one you wanna use and I can put any of them in a .bin and give you a gfx file to work with. Also, it is a sprite right? I'll make ya a palette too.

(The one you linked too will also work too.)

Actually nevermind I got too impatient and did it anyway. With a slight coaxing that sprite is actually able to fit into a 16x32, which is gonna make it somewhat easier to animate too.

Just wondering, do you guys have birdo in this hack? If you do, think it's worth redrawing him to have a beard, as a tribute to the way RC always pronounces it?

If there's support for this idea and someone wants to make a "souped-up" birdo sprite I could put a beard on him and he could be a teleporter-room boss. I think this is a nifty idea, but what do other people think?

As of the moment though, Birdo isn't in any of the levels I know of (He was in Argumentable's stage, the grassland castle, but I think he removed that section).

But he isn't really hard to beat now is he?
You can make a room with a bunch of enemies, but that's still pretty basic.

Well that's why I said souped up, like with more hits or maybe he's behind a wall or he has a spiky helmet, I'll try and come up with better ideas if people are interested. Heck he could be just as easy as normal and be a filler 'joke' teleporter boss for if we don't have enough good ideas.

Ever heard of Robirdo? They added him in Super Mario Advance 1 Super Mario Bros 2. I'd be quite surprised if someone at SMWC hasn't already made something of that nature, so I'd start there and soup that up instead.

Are we tweaking the rex's to be green or what?

Also - I noticed you changed the Fishin Boo to use raocow's fish. I think you should keep the actual fish (in the cloud) as the smw fish to mix things up (then the fish on the line is still raocow's, or maybe even the smb one)

Also we don't have official hotheads, I remember people shunning the only one that was drawn so far.

Also which intro gfx are we using, for the Hey There Everyone
The skinny white one, or the silly yellow one? I think the yellow one's better.

We should try to contact Terry but I've started work on trying to do the castle destruction messages. It's going ok just editing different bits of sprites he's already done but i'm probably going to hit a wall pretty soon, I've done 5 tiles so far, 19 to go >>
