Nope, still doesn't work for me. What exactly are those properties supposed to be?

The !props stuff is for water level or secondary exits if I recall. Are you sure you did "Reinsert all" and then Saved with blocktool?

Yes, I did.

Out of curiosity, which version of Blocktool are you using? I'm still using the old BTSD 0.38 due to switching in the middle of the project not seeming like a very good idea.

I was using that one too until about yesterday. Now I am using the latest one actually, the one with the corners.

Could you check if that block works for you in the old version?

Wait a second... the block doesn't work. I commented out

;LDA $77
;AND #$08 ; If not on the ground...
;BEQ Return ; return

And then it worked. But when it's left in, it doesn't. Something about the LDA $77 AND #$08 is never evaluating to...

Oh yeah, isn't down #$04 and not 8? You would have to be touching the ceiling. heh.

...I just cannot think properly today, can I?

EDIT: That still didn't work, but commenting it out did. Oh well.

Posting it here since it doesn't require fixing

But I find it pretty funny how in the final cutscene the void world disappears and after the credits you are just in the void world again.

Should I try to think of some sort of explanation or just let it be?

No.

You've beaten the game, congratulations. Going back in any level after that would be "non-canon" anyways so what's the point?

That's true.
But going back to the title screen (possibly with to resetting) and having a 100% save file there would make more sense.

So what's the trick for the Gutstank? I couldn't beat it without cheats either.

to get past guts i went into lunar magic and changed his speed to medium. Its way to hard on fast since you cant out run anything. You will always get pushed to the back.

Gutstank is unforgiving, but not impossible.

You need to land the jumps pretty much perfectly after he speeds up, because the 'move faster' things is a little awkwardly placed or something. It's completely possible to do it though.

Pretty much, if you can pull off the first three jumps after the speedup without getting crushed, you are past the hard part. From then on it's just reacting to the arrows in time.

Just leave it in.
Yes it is unfairly hard but VIP had some pretty hard and unfair levels as well

raocow will probably enjoy that part actually. And it reminds me of some of the legendarily stupidly randomly super hard rooms in vip

Once I think about it - It really makes up for how easy the final boss is.

I might be a bit biased, but I have to say that the endgame of this (though perhaps not counting Black Plague), now that we have gotten it working, is one of the greatest I have ever seen in an SMW hack. VIP4 and TSRPR probably has it beaten, but off the top of my head I can't think of any else.

Out of curiosity, does anyone remember who came up with the idea of using Megaman-style teleporters in this?

You mean BP by that I hope?

Yeah that is a HUGE anticlimax.

I'm still not over it, but I will be able to live with it I'm sure
And admittedly it does have something special to it.

EDIT: I believe it was chdata but I'm not sure

I think it was chdata? Makes sense since he ended up doing 50% of the levels for it.

And about BP, it's fine I guess. But I wonder if anything could be added to it, like an eerie generator or something? Tiny BP eeries.

We do have sprites for black plague normal boos. Plus it might shake things up a little if Black Plague isn't in a level he already knows how to beat and can easily, or then that might be part of the whole point, ah well.

EDIT: Oh wait, the problem with an eerie generator is sprite limitations.
Pixie casts Dekunda. Insufficient MP!
