Re: A Second Mario Thing: better than a butt

Hot damn, those moles. The other enemies you can react to a bit beforehand but since the moles wait for proximity before popping out, eeh.

Also echoing the words on power-ups/midpoints. Could've done without the roundabout being required for progression too.

Re: A Second Mario Thing: chock full of ok levels

Today's level gave off a cute and pleasant "amateur designer" vibe for me. It shows creativity despite the roughness, and feels like the author was having fun experimenting with new things. With enough practice I can see Paralars making some neat stuff.

Re: A Second Mario Thing: chock full of ok levels

And after all that you just get an old meme, hahaha. I still think it's an okay level for what it is. Definitely quite flawed, but the well-done parts just really stand out for me. Maybe I'm irrational for thinking that, I dunno. I won't dwell on it any longer, I'll see my optimist head out now. :ar...

Re: A Second Mario Thing: chock full of ok levels

Nuts to y'all, I thought that level was alright. There's definitely a bunch of things which really just inconvenience the player though (growing the Yoshi in particular). Just alleviate those, telegraph some things better, and add a bit more room for error, and you'd have a nice mid-game challenge.

Re: Humble Bundles

RPG Maker Bundle looks tempting for the price alone. I don't know if I'd ever use it, but $69 off, shit.

Oh and while I'm here, some keys I never got to giving out:

Re: Megaman Unlimited: Giant Enemy Crab!

So if you run out of Rush Jet before (or during) any of the flight segments you just either have to Game Over or use a W-Tank before you can continue? I guess it's minor and easily solved if you still have a W-Tank on hand but eh.. Official Mega Man games have done the same thing too. They distribu...

Re: New Super Golden Yoshi World Returns (AGAIN???)

As bullshit as that one bat is with its inconsistent behavior, wow those deaths are hilarious.

I think this is a cool level for high skill play, actually. Just needs to be more fair/forgiving for savestate-less runs. And less of that autoscroll.
Let's see how my thoughts change next video. :P

Re: To Teach MaGL X to Understand Appropriate Music!!!

If I had to describe the levels played lately, I'd go with "cute." They all seem to be levels made just to have a good time, and that's just dandy in my books. :D

Also props to Luigiman's level for some of those hammer brother placements, they seem fairly tricky.

Homestuck and Ponies? What's next, Pokemon?

This game looks fun though, aside from the not so great tech gimmicks it's tried to rely on so far. Hope it gets better.

I'm mainly going for creating content more, since I pretty much slumped on that for the last year. Also would like to socialize more, get better at handling my social anxiety.

The HD Spelunky is a pretty big improvement over the original freeware version. I'd say it's worth paying for, especially on sale for that low.

Played through MURI, pretty cool game which pulls off the retraux style fairly well. Though Steam forgot my playtime I guess, since it most definitely took longer than 37 minutes.

Merry Christmas, all.
I had a good time with extended family, most relaxed I've felt in a social environment in a while. Oh, and I got money and candy I guess.

Rise of the Triad is down to $2.99 for a flash sale, lowest it's ever gotten. Rough around the edges but pretty cool game.

I've been going at Alter Ego: DreamWalker (which apparently is free now) as well as giving Final Doom: TNT: Evilution a second chance and realizing it's actually pretty neat.

Re: JUMP Level Submissions Thread

Level "Peaks of Revolution" with 2 exits. Uses levels 126 and 72. A bit of a hasty release, so sorry if I forgot about something.

Download

The IPS uses the 1.10 baserom, not sure if that's the latest or not.

It was likely disabled there for the better.

I rather liked the jumpy spin-jumpy level, despite that arbitrary second exit.

Oh, oopsie. I'm not too far from finishing my level, I'll hopefully have it done by next week. This is why I shouldn't partake in collabs. :?
