Just use the all smw fix patch, it includes glitches like wings on sprites not appearing, the piranha fix, the silver p-switch glitch, and maybe a few more that I can't remember off the top of my head.

Then the bird opens a store and you can give him his replicas for stuff, like extra costumes, or a permanent replica of himself that could sit on the place where you can browse the treasure.

Hey, is the base rom going to include the basic patches like fast rom/ no sprite tile limit so we don't have to tell some newcomers who are lazy to patch it themselves during testing?

Hey rao, when this project finally starts going into action, are you gonna make an announcement in one of your youtube descriptions (or tags if you feel sneaky) that we're starting. Some people that don't really follow the forums might not be aware of when it starts.

Paralars, you're quite a good spriter, but yah, the spiny eggs' falling frames are just 8x8 tiles that are mirrored to create a 16x16 falling frame. Shows how much work Nintendo put to conserve space.

We try not to re-use any original SMW boss fights if we can, the only one we did use was reznor for Agrumentable's level.

We could always just use the counter break P patch to disable carrying powerups between levels.

When inserting blocks, you specify which Map16 space you want them to use, so if you want different looking tiles to be the same custom block, I think we would have to insert it multiple times.

yeah but have you ever seen a game with 70-odd levels that has a different song each stage? I honestly feel like that would be a bad thing, if EVERY room were different, that would have very little unity, in my opinion. I agree. It would just make things really awkward.
